2020 Encouraging Words
By: Dale Walker

1) Remember your Christian walk is a marathon, don’t let daily disappointment frustrate you, God is not rushing you or His will. Prepare to walk this season out as long as it takes. Putting time limits on something is usually futile and almost always takes longer than we hoped or wanted. God is with you until the end!

2) You have a unique purpose, don’t compare your worth or accomplishment with others. An old saying is: “if God called you to be a janitor, being president is a step down”. Use the talents He has given you to bless others whether they thank you or not, God will reward you in eternity!

3) Stop wishing for what others have, you don’t know what it cost emotionally or financially and even if you had it you might not be satisfied. God is your provider, keep Him first in your heart, giving and obedience, He has promised to provide everything you need!

4) Don’t get swayed by popular opinions, the Word of the Lord never changes; that’s not an excuse to be legalistic or rude but Christianity is not choose what you like and throw away what you don’t agree with relationship. Jesus is Lord with no rivals or equals. Follow Him with all your heart, soul, and strength!

1) The Lord is not surprised by any thing that has happened in 2020, draw near to Him, He will give insight and revelation about decisions you need to make. Be prepared to change directions quickly and trust that new territory will bring opportunities that may seem out of your comfort zone but totally in your skill set!

2) Romans 8:28 says the Lord causes all things to work together for His good according to His riches and glory. This does not mean all things are good but He will use them for His good. That good may come with tears and questions but “no life, no death, nor Angels or demons, or any created thing can separate you from God’s love.” You may not see or understand but God never breaks His Word!

3) Almost every day of your life will seem normal even ordinary but never doubt that your faithful daily walk is important. For 30 years Jesus was unrecognized and seemed normal (except for 7 days when He was 12 years old.) Don’t judge the value of your life by what is seen or celebrated by others. God is honored by your faithfulness, don’t give up!

4) Slow down over the next 2 weeks, make memories with your family, friends and reflect about God’s faithfulness in the last 12 months. You may be celebrating your first Christmas without a precious family member or friend but you can replay the memories you made and thank God He shared them with you!

1) Joseph and Mary were forced to travel almost 100 miles so the government could make sure everyone was paying all the taxes they owed. There was no apology for interrupting their schedule even though Mary was 9 months pregnant. No special exemptions for Jesus, stop expecting to avoid trouble if He didn’t!

2) If God cared enough to share Jesus with us, let’s make sure we share Him with those we meet, convenient or not! Our best witness is when we don’t get nice treatment or fair deals and still treat others kindly. Ask the Lord for grace to give others, especially when you need it yourself!

3) The kindness of the Lord leads people to change their mind about Him, it’s normal to expect judgement for wrong behavior, when they receive love instead it helps them drop their guard and experience His love. It’s easy to pay back wrong for wrong but giving forgiveness and love for wrong is your best testimony!

4) We will experience trouble in life but Jesus came to give us peace in the middle of our storms. If you don’t have peace, it’s not because it’s unavailable, stay close to the Prince of Peace, His supply never runs out!

1) Peace always begins inside, circumstances don’t produce or prevent peace. Jesus said He came that we might have peace, in every circumstance, if peace is missing you are focusing on the wrong things. Peace is always available but it comes with correct thinking and discipline of keeping your mind on the Lord!

2) Memories can be painful but they can also be beautiful ways to include loved ones who are no longer on earth. It will be worth the pain to talk about, reminisce and continue traditions shared with them. You may cry through the events but tears can wash grief with smiles and thoughts. Keep your gone away loved ones included with precious memories!

3) God send Jesus at exactly the right time, Jesus didn’t do what was expected of Him on earth and He may not be doing what you are asking Him to do now but remember God’s plans are perfect, His will is going to come to pass even though it looks completely different than you hoped. God hasn’t made a mistake in all eternity, trust Him when you can’t understand Him!

4) Remember Christmas is about God’s love, obedience and sacrifice, gifts remind us God gave His Son, Christmas lights remind us Jesus is the light of the world, ornaments on trees reflect the lights and the evergreen reminds us our lives are forever. Don’t confuse temporary disappointment with everlasting plans and celebrations. Emmanuel means God is with us now!

1) Spend time this week reminding yourself how good God has been in spite of the craziness of 2020. Share how He has met you and be specific so others are blessed and encouraged to do the same. You can be thankful or grumpy but not at the same time!

2) Psalm 136 says 26 times “God’s mercy endures forever”, it states an event or trial and reminds us even then He is good. Nothing surprises Him and He always provides what you need; it may not be what you expect or how you you want it but He never makes mistakes, look for His mercy daily!

3) If you cannot be with family this Thanksgiving pray for others who can’t either like military, police, medical, nursing home residents and staff. Don’t focus on what you are missing but on what you have. God is near to the lonely and broken, draw near to Him!

4) Jesus was born in a lonely stable, you are never worse off than He was, Angels visited Him there and they are guarding you every day. Determine to keep Jesus in this season, listen for His still small voice for wonderful surprises and blessings, this really can be your best Holiday Season ever!

1) Christian don’t be critical or discouraging, don’t cause harm to young believers with negativity. Say what God says about the way things are, Ps 1 says “blessed is the man who doesn’t gripe and complain”. Now is the time to show the world our hope and joy!

2) “When sin runs rampant grace runs faster and lasts longer”. Until someone gets saved by grace they cannot change their behavior permanently; temporary change is possible but only God’s grace breaks sin’s control. Be as patient with sinners as God is with you!

3) “Love is the perfect bond of unity”(Col. 3:16) stop choosing sides to love, God loves the whole world. You don’t have to agree to be loving, find the things you agree on and enjoy those together. Just because you don’t see eye to eye doesn’t mean you don’t need them in your life!

4) The world needs to see what real Christianity looks like, today we try to hold on to our rights and follow Jesus too. Galatians 2:20 says we have been crucified with Christ, that means our wants must die and yield to God’s desires. Self denial feels like losing and hurts but it also brings blessings and favor. Choose to die to self and live!

1) “Keep your mind on things above, not on earthly things. You died, your life is hidden with Christ” Colossians 3:2-3. Don’t allow yourself to be negative, speak what God’s Word says about today. God’s plans will come to pass, regardless of who wins the elections. Hate, fear, yelling and getting others back in never God’s way. Determine to find the Lord regardless of what you see!

2) Don’t get trapped thinking if you are doing everything right, your life will be easy and good. Many spiritual forefathers experienced horrible injustice while doing everything right. This world is not our home, God’s plans don’t exclude pain or suffering, if hard times cause you to doubt, remember every believer is told, “in this world you will have trouble, be of good courage, Jesus our Lord and Savior has overcome this world”!

3) The Bible is always right, God never deviates from His Word. Don’t think you get the right outcome if you get there the wrong way. There are not shortcuts to growth, maturity and sacrifice. Your walk is unique, do not compare your story to others. Everyone has trials and triumphs, stay close to the Lord in them all!

4) Prepare yourself for the days ahead, half of your nation will be angry after the elections. Stay humble and seek God how you can be a good witness whether your side wins or looses. The church has a poor record at times being prideful or judgmental instead of humble and kind. Remember we are all still growing in grace and the knowledge of God’s love!

1) “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) Instead of beating yourself up because you failed again, thank God for His love and goodness, He doesn’t love you because you are good or perfect, He knows every tomorrow and has chosen to love you forever!

2) The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) guard your heart from bitterness, anger, stress and fatigue. The enemy won’t get most of us with “big sins” but small seemingly insignificant disobedience and tolerating mediocrity. Jesus is not a hard taskmaster but He is not lazy either, keep your hand to the plow!

3) Almost always there is more to the story than you know, don’t react, judge or lash out, dealing with motives instead of symptoms will bring healing, closure and freedom. It takes more work and compassion to find real solutions but we are all called to the ministry of reconciliation (II Cor. 5:18). Those closest to you deserve your best efforts to love them completely!

4) Hope for our nation will not come regardless who you think should be elected, of coarse there are consequences depending on who wins but Christians will only see more turning away from a sacrificial life of self denial and loving those who don’t love you back. Jesus loves everyone, it’s His kindness that leads to repentance!

1) No more coasting and playing it safe, follow the dream the Lord put in your heart. Don’t let your age, your past mistakes and fears of failure stop you. You don’t have to have the whole plan before you begin. Jesus almost always requires us to step out in faith and trust Him to guide as we go. Moses failed to deliver Israel in his time and his way but God found him in the desert and sent him to do what he was born to do. Come on. Take the first step!

2) Instead of complaining about your problems seek God for wisdom, He may not fix the problem, He may guide you through them; as you go through them others will be blessed by your courage and faithfulness. No one has an easy life, stop wishing you had what someone else has, God has promised to provide everything you need!

3) It’s time to let go of the hurt and pain a former spouse, boss, church or friend caused. They were wrong but you need to move beyond this, forgive them and put this behind you once and for all. The pain they caused is real but you are letting the hurt rule you instead of demanding it to leave. It may never be like it was but you can be better than ever, walk away and don’t look back!

4) School is starting and the changes required may not be what you want, decide to encourage yourself, family, friends and teachers daily. This can be the best year ever, speak blessings on your children daily, make it special for all involved. Remember there is grace to help in times of need. (Hebrews 4:16) Set the tone for excitement and success and listen for the still small voice of the Holy Spirit not to miss opportunities to bless others!Choose your words very carefully, you can wound people forever, people you would die for with angry or foolish talk. If you have hurt someone with meanness or lies beg them for forgiveness and give them as long as they need to trust you again!

If you have hurt someone with meanness or lies beg them for forgiveness and give them as long as they need to trust you again!

1) Ps.30:11-12 “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!” Praise during trials, even if circumstances don’t change your spirit will give you strength to go on!”

2) “Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills” Habakkuk 3:17-19

3) Don’t put off important things because you are busy or broken, life is messy but God works through us at every point. When you are broken you can relate to the broken, when you are defeated, you relate to others who are defeated. Don’t disqualify yourself because you don’t have it all together, sometimes enduring the mess is your loudest sermon!

4) Choose your words very carefully, you can wound people forever, people you would die for with angry or foolish talk. If you have hurt someone with meanness or lies beg them for forgiveness and give them as long as they need to trust you again!

1) Everyone you meet has pain, spiritual, emotional or physical sometimes all 3 at once. You can see them as weak, stubborn, wrong or immature but your Heavenly Father wants you to love them. Determine to walk as a mature disciple instead of judgmental and impatient. God is working on all of us!

2) When the Body of Christ walks in the power that is available, no sickness, fear or temptation can defeat us. If you are focusing on others weaknesses instead of your own, even if your argument is valid, you are not portraying Christ. Galatians 6:1 says “if someone is overtaken by a fault, you who are spiritual restore them gently because your weaknesses will show up too!

3) The closer you stand to Jesus the harder it is to see anyone else, make Him the one your spend time meditating on instead of the one who makes you angry. Criticism and believing the worst about people usually brings the worst to the surface!

4) Jeremiah 29:11 says the future is filled with hope, not harm or despair. Seek God about what to do to bring it about for you and others. Everyone must serve in the Body of Christ, find your spot and get busy. The best is yet to come!

1) The Lord knows the beginning and the end, we see through a dark glass. Don’t let things you see sway you, things can change in an instant. Joseph was delivered from jail after 3 years, because he was faithful God brought him out to rule the entire nation of Egypt. Nothing is impossible with God!

2) Be wise with your finances, continue to give faithfully to church not to get something from the Lord but because He gives you the strength, wisdom and favor to earn a living. Giving for Christians is as natural as breathing, don’t get stingy, God has more than enough to provide for you!

3) Take every thought captive, measure it by the Word of God; if it doesn’t line up with the Bible cast it away just like you would a snake. Remember the last few verses in the Bible warm is not to twist scripture to fit our thinking, we are to conform to it!

4) The people who make you the angriest and you dislike the most may already be brothers and sisters in Christ (former spouse, boss or neighbor). Don’t give yourself grace to get away with a terrible attitude or sin and refuse to do the same for them. Ask God to bless them like you want Him to bless you!

1) Criticizing someone almost always prevents you from having a positive effect in the long run, scriptural correction doesn’t always produce a quick fix but doing things God’s way gives positive change its best chance. Don’t judge by what you see, God works in hearts before you ever see the evidence!

2) It doesn’t matter how much you serve, give and believe, if you don’t have love you get zero credit. Doesn’t mean love only those you think deserve love but every person created by God. The reason Jesus hasn’t returned is He is waiting for all to come to repentance, stay as patient as He does!

3) Jesus did not work to change politics or correct unjust laws (if He has called you to do that, don’t lose hope), He came to correct legalistic religious frauds. If your faith doesn’t work at home, on your job or with your closest friends, don’t expect Him to trust you with powerful ministry any where else!

4) Decide tonight, no negative talk, influence or thinking for one week; if that means turning off the news so be it, complaining with your friends do it. Don’t let up on this, you will be more spiritually healthy, happier and better company. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice!

1) Everyday you have a choice, will you walk in peace or turmoil, joy or sorrow, unity or division. Don’t allow someone to control your choices by their thinking or behavior. God has given you everything pertaining to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him (II Peter 1:3). If you are doing everything right but without love you are not pleasing Him!

2) Submission is never easy or fun and it’s not tested until you disagree with the one giving the direction but everyone has to submit to someone daily; a parent, boss, coach, teacher, policeman, etc. Jesus submitted to His Heavenly Father, His parents, paid taxes and obeyed the law. Don’t excuse fleshly behavior because you don’t agree. Walk in humility and grace towards all in authority!

3) Peace is available all day, everyday (John 16:33) but it only lasts if you keep your mind on the Lord. Jesus is not fretting over today’s turmoil; it’s a great witness for the Lord to exude peace and joy. Let your words declare God’s faithfulness and forgiveness to everyone everyday!

4) Take every thought captive, measure it by the Word of God. Don’t allow a mixture of eternal and temporary, God is faithful even when I am faithless, His Word will come to pass regardless how it looks now. Remember it’s darkest just before dawn and joy comes in the AM!

1) Begin your statements with I not you, I need to forgive, I need to trust, etc. Don’t allow your passion to drive people away, it’s taken you this long to get where you are, ask God to be as patient with them as He has been with you. Talking louder doesn’t mean you will he heard better. He is in control, trust His timing and methods

2) Just because someone doesn’t see things exactly like you do doesn’t mean they are bad or wrong, try to see from their perspective without judgement and anger; changing others begins with caring about them first, so you can have the privilege of speaking truth to them. This is God’s time, don’t interrupt His work with your harsh attitude!

3) Change begins on the inside, you don’t see the evidence even though it’s occurring; we may not be able to rush it but we can slow it down with our manipulation. Often God’s timing seems late so we try to hurry it up; He is able to accomplish His work without our advice, rest in Him!

4) Jesus ate at a tax collectors house, that’s the same as you having dinner with the person you think is the worst on earth. If Jesus has that kind of love, don’t justify your righteous attitude by thinking you know better than He did. Love those who despite fully use you, curse you and hope for your destruction. Deal with the log in your own eye, He can deal with the speck in others!

1) There is nothing new under the sun, listen for the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit to give you peace, direction and wisdom. Don’t dwell on what you can’t change and don’t be swayed by partial facts, don’t think you know the whole story, God is in control!

2) It’s a new day, a new season, new patterns must be formed and practiced daily. Don’t waste time wishing for the good ole days, they will never come back, make these the good new days. Draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you, resist the devil and he will flee, your best is just ahead!

3) Don’t allow legalism disguised as discipline to rule your life. You were born with a purpose for this exact time. Don’t envy others, you have your race to run, looking at others distracts you from doing your job well. You have everything you need to succeed and accomplish all God has designed for you, get busy being you!

4) There is wisdom in getting advice from mature believers who have your best interests at heart; don’t trust yourself so much that you miss direction because you have become tunnel visioned. Every man’s way is right in his own eyes and he doesn’t know what he doesn’t know. Close friends want to help, let them!

1) Many things are going great, don’t let the negative overshadow the good. This does not mean deny the bad but if you are not careful you end up rehearsing the bad so much your faith has a hard time shining through. God is not punishing you regardless of how bad you have been, He can even cause consequences to be easier but you must trust Him completely!

2) There are some people watching you from a distance, it may not seem like what you do matters but please look beyond your feelings and make wise decisions “for them”. They are holding on by a thread, even though you don’t know it, your faith is giving them hope to hold on. Don’t let today’s problems cause you to give up, go back or cave in, you will never know some of the people feeding off your walk with God!

3) Sing, make a joyful noise to the Lord, your praise causes depression and disappointment to leave. Stop waiting for things to get better before you praise God for who He is. He has already demonstrated how much He loves you and how important you are to Him. He has numbered every hair on your head, He loves more than you feel like He does!

4) Your are stronger than you used to be, in fact you never thought you would be this far along in your faith, some are farther than any family member you have ever known. You are right where you belong, God’s hand is guiding you and your best days are ahead not behind. Keep believing God for the breakthrough that’s in your heart, His timing is perfect!

1) As the nation begins to open back up the tendency may be to get everything back to the way it was but the Lord has specific changes He wants you to make. Seek Him too know what should be left in the old season and what He wants you to begin now!

2) The day after the children of Israel entered the Promised land, the food God had provided for 40 years stopped and never appeared again. Just because things have always been this way does not mean they will continue; listen closely for new instructions and follow them carefully and completely!

3) Continue to be patient with those who feel differently about the way forward after this Coronavirus. There is not always a right and wrong way, many times there are multiple ways to achieve the same thing. Give others grace and space to walk this out, encourage and trust them to do the right thing for them and their family!

4) Don’t take old habits and excuses into the new Season. Ask God to give you the desire to leave your weaknesses and failures behind. Don’t excuse poor attitudes, negative thinking and mediocre faith, it’s time to press towards God’s highest call on your life. You won’t be perfect but you be moving towards growth and victory in every area!

1) This is a time to put your faith in action, don’t listen to news all day, spend time bathing your mind with the Word of God instead of thinking about what might happen. IITimothy 1:7 says “God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.”

2) “Fear not, I am with you, don’t be discouraged I am your God. I will help you and strengthen you, I will hold you up with My strong right hand.” (Is. 41:10) “Keep your mind focused on the Lord and He will give you perfect peace.” You have a choice, keep worrying about what you can’t control or trust God who controls everything!

3) Jesus disciples thought they were going to die in a storm and Jesus was sleeping through it all, they said “don’t you care that we are about to die”, He immediately calmed the storm then asked why they were afraid. Jesus has promised to never leave or forsake you, trust Him!

4) Jesus used the phrase “Do not be afraid” more than any thing else. He knew things would be scary, unpredictable and overwhelming at times, yet His instruction was “don’t be afraid”. The choice is yours, trust Him even when you don’t understand what’s going on or tremble with worry, you cannot do both at the same time!

1) You have more questions than answers, things are not going the way you planned but that doesn’t mean God is not in control or have you right where you need to be. Put your questions, timing and fears in His hands, remember He knows the end and the beginning. Rest in His timing and love and allow Him to use where you are for His glory. Things may not turn out like you planned but nothing surprises the Lord and He will walk with you through it all!

2) Don’t allow fear about a contagious disease steal your peace, be wise and remember Ps. 91 says “The Lord is your refuge, make the most High your dwelling place, no harm will overtake you and no disaster will come near your house ... He will command His Angels to guard you in all your ways”. Pray, believe and carry God’s healing power everywhere you go, nothing is too hard for the Lord!

3) Some of our brightest moments come in the middle of some of our darkest trials, don’t be timid but don’t be judge mental and critical either. The world needs the unconditional love of Jesus to see they are not too far gone that He can’t reach them. Just because people are living in sin does not mean God doesn’t love them, remember He reached you and me when we were lost and rebellious too!

4) Many of us learned a song as children; “He’s got the whole world in His hands”, get back to using your child like faith to believe everything is under His watchful eye. God has blessed us and promised to never leave or forsake us, nothing can separate us from His love. Praying your child like faith reminds you of His promises now!

1) “The Word of God is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.” (Ps. 119:105) Don’t allow your feelings to override what the Word of God says; feelings are real and powerful but they are temporary, subject to change. Make decisions and form opinions based on the never changing Bible!

2) Do your closest friends know what you believe about Jesus? Do you live your faith without being judgmental? Do you grow daily in your faith by reading God’s Word? Spiritual growth does not come naturally and trying to live on your past growth is dangerous. Don’t accept mediocrity, the world needs to see real faith in action!

3) If you deal with fear and or depression regularly, don’t judge your growth based on daily feelings, look back over the past 6 months , most of the time you are doing better than you used to. Celebrate your victories and keep fighting the fight daily, perfection is not possible but steady growth is!

4) God loves you continuously, He never threatens to leave or forsake you, guard your thoughts, take them captive; measure them by the Word of God. Don’t allow criticism and condemnation to knock you down, remind yourself God has chosen you and is preparing a place for you to spend eternity with Him!

1) “Behold what manner of the love the Heavenly Father has given to you, He has called you His child.” (I John 3:1) Love comes in many ways, some sweet and gentle others come with discipline and correction. The Father disciplines all He loves, discipline may seem harsh in the moment but it’s a sure sign of God’s love!

2) Daniel chose to sacrifice the delicacies of the world to live a holy life for God, because of his choice, he was 10 times wiser than those around him. God honors obedience with the right motive, don’t try to win God’s love by working harder, live a life of sacrifice because you are already loved. Expect God’s favor as a result of your loving obedience!

3) No Olympic athlete wins gold by coasting and sleeping in and no committed Christian should coast through life either. Pursue God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength and stay faithful to the assignment God has given you. Our Heavenly rewards will last for eternity but your store them up here and now!

4) Everyone needs encouragement, the people who are struggling need it more than anyone. People usually don’t care what you know until they know you care. Reach out to the lest recognized, share generous tips and encouraging words, especially with those who are doing a great job!

1) The sun is shining just above the clouds, you may see grey, dark skies but most of you have been in an airplane that breaks through the clouds into bright sunny skies. It seems you are riding on white pillows of beauty; it’s all about perspective, keep your mind on God’s promises to you!

2) Some of the scripture verses most familiar to you can seem powerless because you forget to add faith to them. God knew what you would need at this moment and had you learn these verses for such a time as this. God has planned your steps, don’t let familiarity rob you from the blessings they are meant to bring. God loves you more than you know, it’s His design to prepare you before you need it, rely on His amazing grace!

3) Spend time worshipping everyday, don’t fret if you can’t sing or don’t remember every word of a song, worship is honoring God for who He is not what He has done. We all know people who are in horrible physical shape or from horrendous upbringing who love God and thank Him for His love and goodness; it’s certainly not easy but He is worthy in spite of all you go through. One day, maybe even today you will see Him face to face!

4) Guard your thoughts, your words declare what you are thinking about. Things don’t change because you complain but your attitude definitely changes when you speak God’s goodness and faithfulness. Make sure your friends draw you closer the Lord, this world constantly draws you away, stay alert!

1) Christmas has been over for more than a month, don’t wait 11 more months to make more special memories that come easily during the holidays. Plan visits, calls and trips with the people you love the most. The costs will be more than worth it as you fill your memory with sunsets, ice cream and conversations. Tell people how they have blessed you and filled your heart with love. Just because you do not share DNA with someone doesn’t mean they can’t be family!

2) Give what you have to share God’s love, if you extra time give some of it to help someone who doesn’t. If you have extra money buy someone’s groceries or pay their rent. If you need encouragement, encourage someone who needs it too. Don’t stay stuck where you are, you must take steps to change your circumstances and attitude. Begin now, not tomorrow or in the future!

3) Daniel the prophet was in a battle for 21 days before he saw a breakthrough but the Angel told him, your prayer was answered the day you prayed. Don’t give up because you don’t see the answer you are expecting; your breakthrough may be just in front of you. God has promised to meet every need you have trust Him until you see it come to pass!

4) Don’t get unsettled by the world you see, this is not your home but it is your mission field. The people who are hateful and hurtful are the ones you need to reach; they won’t be won by arguments and persuasion but love, patience and kindness. Allow God’s love to fill and flow through you to break through their opposition, God’s love never fails!

1) “As far as sunrise is from sunset, He has separated us from our sins.” (Ps. 103:12) If the Lord has removed our sins, stop beating yourself up over your failures. God knew you would fail when He made you, but He made you just like you are, receive His new mercies every day, they are His daily reminder of His love!

2) What are you doing for others? Serving others is not optional for Christians, in fact the greatest in God’s Kingdom is a servant. If God has entrusted you with much, remember much is required from you. Don’t allow the failures and weaknesses of others to justify your selfishness, remember you aren’t perfect either and God still blesses you!

3) If you declare Jesus is Lord of your life, it means He is boss. He loves you completely but He is not seeking permission when He assigns you a task. Because He knows the end and the beginning what He requires may seem unreasonable but partial obedience is not acceptable if you want His blessing. He always has your best interest at heart!

4) Your words reflect what is in your heart, if you complain a lot it’s because you are unsatisfied a lot, if you speak the Word of God instead of your feelings it’s because you trust God in spite of what you see. Don’t think telling it like it is excuses you from honoring God with every word, trust God’s heart when you can’t see His hand!

1) Much of what we hope for turns out differently than expected, that doesn’t mean we were wrong or God doesn’t care about our dreams but He knows the end and the beginning in all our lives. His plans are bigger and more comprehensive, so trust Him to adjust your perspective and satisfy your hearts desires along the way!

2) God provides for the sparrows in the air and gives beauty to flowers that grow in the most difficult terrain, there is beauty and provision everywhere in your life, don’t miss it because you keep focusing on the thorns and rocks. Stay thankful for what you have and focus less on what you don’t have!

3) Stop blaming others, take the pressure off your children, spouse and friends. Even if you are right, offer opinions and corrections less and encouragement more. The world is drowning in negativity, be a light in this darkness, let your words be filled with love and hope. It’s never too late to see the bright side!

4) What are you asking the Lord for that seems impossible? Complacency is a disease that spreads to others around you, keeping growing in your faith and pressing towards God’s calling on you, encourage those who have lost their dream, God is a Father who loves restoring hopes and dreams!

1) God is thinking about you right now, in fact He is planning good things for you. He is excited about your future, He says it is filled with hope, God’s plans are sure! Jeremiah 29:11. Ever get a text from someone you really admire, maybe even wish you could be friends with and they say, “I was just thinking about you and wanted to say you are important to me”. This is exactly what this verse means to you today!

2) Don’t let your circumstances discourage you; don’t wish you were living some else’s story. God knows where you are; in the doctors office, living alone or facing financial issues and He has promised to be with you through every valley. Wasting energy wishing things were different can keep you from helping others around you now. What might be a difficult time for you may be your best chance to shine for he Lord!

3) Not everyone is supposed to lead, most are called to help, support and encourage. God chooses the position we have, once you accept what He has called you to do, placed you where you need to be, you will be happier and more fulfilled than trying to do what someone else is called to do. Walking in your calling is the happiest place you will ever be!

4) Failure is a part of life, don’t let it stop you from trying again, trying something else or trying the thing you failed at a new way. No one goes through life without failing many times, stop rehearsing your failures and thank God for new beginnings and fresh mercies everyday!

1) It’s a new decade, new year and a chance for a new beginning! What would you do if you knew you could not fail? What do you love doing but never have enough time to enjoy? What do people say you are good at but you don’t believe? If you don’t make changes about these answers now, you will loose another year you cannot get back. Remember the parable about talents, use them or loose them!

2) Don’t excuse your negativity, believe what God says about your life, your future, your family and especially those you don’t see eye to eye with. God loves them as much as He loves you, it’s not too late for Him to redeem everything that seems lost. Some of your best friendships are going to come from people you don’t think you have anything in common with now; stay loving towards everyone!

3) Don’t make foolish promises or resolutions, make disciplined choices daily and consistently. Don’t expect to change your attitude, weight, marriage or income in a few months if it’s taken years to get where you are. You can overcome every obstacle a little at a time if you follow through daily!

4) What are you believing God for this year? Have you asked the Lord what His plans for you are, are you being honest in your expectation and ability? Disappointment occurs when we make decisions we did not get the Lord’s counsel about, false hope and pride can dream up things that will never occur because they are not the Lord’s will for you!
